How the calculation works
A tip percentage applies to the bill amount chosen for tipping. Add the tip to the bill, then divide by the number of people when splitting equally.
Example to check
A 15% tip on 80 is 12. The total is 92, or 46 each for two people.
Before using the result
Check whether the bill includes service charges and whether you intend to tip on the pre-tax amount. Equal splitting may not reflect individual orders.
