Understanding your calculation
Method, example and limitations
How the calculation works
Salary conversions express the same gross pay over different working periods. Annualization depends on the hours per week, working days and weeks per year selected.
Example to check
$20 per hour for 40 hours each week and 52 weeks gives $41,600 gross annual pay before deductions.
Before using the result
Gross pay is not take-home pay. Unpaid leave, overtime rules, bonuses, benefits and local taxes may change the money actually received.
