Understanding your calculation
Method, example and limitations
How the calculation works
An investment projection combines an opening balance, deposits and assumed growth over time. Keep contribution frequency, growth frequency and start/end timing consistent.
Example to check
With no deposits or fees, $1,000 at an assumed 5% annual return becomes $1,050 after one year.
Before using the result
Constant growth is an illustration, not a forecast. Market losses, fees, tax, inflation and changes in deposits affect actual outcomes.
